Learn what to expect from the MIMIA Art Of Forgotten Dream Series blind box, including character details, material quality, and who this collectible series is best for.
Quick answer
The MIMIA Art Of Forgotten Dream Series blind box offers 8 regular characters plus a secret variant, each about 13cm tall, in a PVC/ABS build. It is a solid choice if you enjoy surreal, art-inspired figure designs and are comfortable with the blind-box gamble.
What makes this series different
The MIMIA Art Of Forgotten Dream Series leans heavily into an artistic, dreamlike aesthetic rather than cartoon or anime styling. Each figure stands around 13cm, giving them a noticeable presence on a shelf without occupying too much space.
Because the series includes a secret character, the chase factor is present. The material is standard PVC/ABS with paper accessories, which is typical for this price tier. The absence of a stated weight or rarity percentage means you cannot easily predict which figure you will get.
Who should buy this blind box
This series is best suited for collectors who appreciate original art concepts and are not focused on popular licensed IPs. The 15+ age recommendation means it is not intended for young children, mainly due to small parts and sharp accessories.
If you prefer highly poseable figures or characters from well-known franchises, this series may not meet your expectations. The blind-box format also means you might receive duplicates if you buy multiple units.
Decision rules for buying the MIMIA Art Of Forgotten Dream Series
- Check the age rating: This set is recommended for ages 15 and up due to small parts and sharp accessories. Do not buy for young children.
- Understand the blind-box gamble: With 8 regular characters and 1 secret, you may get duplicates when buying multiple boxes. There is no stated rarity or weight to help identify the secret. If duplicates bother you, consider buying a full set or trading with other collectors.
- Assess display space: Each figure is about 13cm tall. They are not miniatures, so plan for shelf space that accommodates this height comfortably.
- Material and care: The figures are PVC/ABS with paper elements. Keep them away from moisture and direct sunlight to prevent fading or paper damage. Dust gently with a soft cloth; avoid water on paper parts.
