Quick Answer
The DORA On My Way Series blind box is a solid pick if you enjoy character-driven figure sets with a chase secret: it contains 9 regulars and 1 secret, with secret odds of 1/108. Before buying, weigh the low secret probability against the reasonable price and the 15+ age rating.
What Makes This Series Stand Out
The DORA On My Way Series focuses on characters in travel-themed poses, which gives the set a cohesive narrative feel. Each figure stands between about 9.2 and 13.7 cm tall, so the size variation adds visual interest when displayed together.
Because it's a blind box, you won't know which character you get until you open it. That unpredictability is part of the appeal for collectors who enjoy the surprise, but it also means you might receive duplicates if you buy multiple boxes.
Key Trade-Offs to Consider
The secret figure has a 1/108 probability, which is notably lower than the 1/9 chance for any regular. If your main goal is to complete the set, you may need to buy many boxes or rely on trading.
The price point of around USD 11.90 (compared to a catalog price of USD 19.50) makes it an affordable entry into blind box collecting, but the cost can add up if you're chasing the secret.
The set is rated for ages 15 and up due to small parts and sharp accessories. This isn't a toy for young children, so keep that in mind if you're buying as a gift.
Decision Rules for Buying the DORA On My Way Series
- If you want the secret figure: Be prepared for a low 1/108 chance. Buy multiple boxes only if you're comfortable with the cost, or consider trading with other collectors to increase your odds without overspending. Set a budget before you start buying to avoid overspending on the chase.
- If you're buying for a child: This set is rated 15+ due to small parts and sharp accessories. Choose a different product if the recipient is under 15. Always check the age rating before gifting.
- If you're a completionist: Expect to buy at least 9 boxes to get all regulars, but duplicates are common. Factor in trading or selling extras to complete the set efficiently. Join collector communities to trade duplicates and reduce overall cost.
