The Complete Guide to Nanci Series & Suri Series: History and Characters

Blind box collecting has taken the world by storm, and among the most beloved series are the Nanci and Suri lines. These whimsical figures have captured hearts with their unique aesthetics and storytelling. Whether you're a seasoned collector or just starting, this guide will walk you through the history, characters, and collecting tips for both series.

At Toybeta, we offer a wide range of blind boxes, including the charming Nanci and Suri series. In this comprehensive guide, we'll explore what makes these figures so special, how they differ, and how you can build a collection you'll treasure.

The Origins of Nanci Series

The Nanci series, created by the talented designer known for blending dreamy aesthetics with a touch of melancholy, first appeared in the blind box market several years ago. Nanci characters are often depicted with closed eyes, serene expressions, and elaborate costumes inspired by various themes, from fairy tales to historical periods. The series quickly gained a cult following due to its artistic detail and emotional depth.

Each Nanci figure tells a story, often drawing from folklore and mythology. The designer's attention to fabric textures, accessories, and color palettes makes every figure a miniature work of art. Collectors are drawn to the 'sleeping beauty' vibe, which sets Nanci apart from other blind box series that feature more dynamic poses.

• Nanci figures typically have closed eyes, symbolizing dreams and imagination.
• Each series explores a different theme, such as fairy tales, seasons, or cultural legends.
• The figures are made of high-quality PVC, ensuring durability and fine detail.

Meet the Suri Series

The Suri series, a newer addition to the blind box family, offers a contrasting yet equally captivating style. Suri characters are known for their expressive, wide-open eyes and playful, mischievous personalities. The series often features modern, urban themes, with characters dressed in contemporary outfits and engaging in everyday activities, from sipping coffee to skateboarding.

Suri figures are designed to resonate with young adults who see a bit of themselves in these characters. The series has a more lighthearted and relatable tone compared to Nanci, making it a favorite among those who prefer a more cheerful aesthetic. Despite being newer, Suri has quickly built a dedicated fanbase, and each new release is eagerly anticipated.

• Suri characters have large, expressive eyes and dynamic poses.
• Themes often revolve around city life, hobbies, and pop culture.
• Suri series are perfect for collectors who enjoy a modern, vibrant look.

Key Characters in Nanci and Suri Series

Both series boast a rich cast of characters. In the Nanci line, you'll encounter figures like the ethereal 'Moonlight Dancer' and the regal 'Queen of Hearts,' each with unique accessories and backstories. The Suri series introduces characters such as 'Coffee Addict Suri' and 'Skater Girl Suri,' who capture the essence of everyday moments with a twist.

For those new to these series, it's helpful to know that each blind box contains one random figure, and there are often rare or secret versions that are highly sought after. Collectors often trade or purchase individual figures to complete their sets, and online communities are great places to connect with fellow enthusiasts.

• Look for limited edition and secret figures for a more valuable collection.
• Trade with other collectors to complete your set without buying duplicates.
• Follow official announcements to know when new series drop.

Nanci vs Suri: Which Series Should You Collect?

Choosing between Nanci and Suri ultimately comes down to personal preference. If you appreciate intricate, dreamy designs with a touch of nostalgia, Nanci is your go-to. On the other hand, if you prefer vibrant, relatable characters that reflect modern life, Suri will win you over. Many collectors enjoy both, as they offer contrasting aesthetics that diversify any display.

Consider your budget and space as well. Both series have similar price points, but some rare figures can be pricier on the secondary market.
